Emergency Plumbing in Las Vegas, NV

When water is where it shouldn't be, every minute counts. We answer around the clock and get a licensed plumber to your Las Vegas home fast to stop the damage and fix the cause — burst pipes, major leaks, overflowing toilets, and sudden loss of water.

What to Do Before the Plumber Arrives

Find and close your main water shutoff

In most Las Vegas homes the main shutoff is a valve where the supply line enters the house, often in the garage or on an exterior wall near the front hose bib. In other houses the only usable shutoff sits inside the curbside meter box and needs a meter key to turn. Turning off water stops a burst pipe from flooding drywall and flooring while help is on the way.

Burst pipes and split supply lines

Pipes in the valley rarely freeze, but they do fail: braided faucet and toilet supply lines burst, fittings corrode, and pressure spikes split older pipe. After shutting off the water, open a low faucet to drain the lines and move valuables away from the wet area. We repair the break and check for related damage.

Overflowing toilets and sewage backups

Close the shutoff valve behind the toilet first, turning clockwise. If water is coming up through floor drains or the tub, stop using every fixture in the house, because the main sewer line is blocked and anything you run will rise there. That situation needs a main line clearing, not a plunger.

No water at all in the house

A sudden loss of water can come from a utility shutoff, a failed pressure regulator, a closed main valve or a major underground break. Check with neighbors and the water district first. If others have water and you do not, or you see water pooling in the yard, call us and we will locate the problem.

Gas smell near the water heater

If you smell gas, leave the home, avoid switches or flames and call the gas utility or 911 from outside. Once the utility has made it safe, we can repair a faulty connection or replace a damaged water heater. Never try to relight a pilot while the odor is present.

Hot water pouring from a ceiling or wall

Hot water leaking overhead often means a supply line in the attic or a slab line under pressure has failed. Turn off the main and the water heater supply, then shut off power to any wet lights or outlets at the breaker. Photograph the damage for insurance before cleanup, then we find and fix the source.
